Goings On Around the Clubhouse

Fall has arrived at the clubhouse in Kempton and the leaves are beginning to turn. The clubhouse is getting a paint job and renovations continue. At the Arizona clubhouse unseasonably hot weather has lingered for the past month but we expect a big cool down coming soon.

I had a good time speaking at the Ancient Civilizations Conference in Boulder, and it was good to see old friends like Erich von Daniken and William Henry there as well.

I also had a good time at the Ancient Mysteries Conference in Virginia Beach, Virginia on October 5. Friends Jim Vieira and John Van Auken were there as well, and Hugh Newman joined us by Zoom. Filming is underway for the new season of Ancient Aliens and the new compilation show, Ancient Aliens: Origins, has begun to air.

I am scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a conference in Los Angeles called Alien Event. It is at the Sonesta LAX hotel from April 4-6. Check it out and get tickets at: www.alienevent.com Jennifer and I took a trip to Estonia, Finland and Iceland in September. We flew from Chicago to

Frankfurt and then on to Tallinn, the capital of the small Baltic state of Estonia. Our friends and Estonian publishers Kuido and Ilona met us at the airport and took us to our hotel in the old city. Tallinn is a charming capital and the old city is a UNESCO World Heritage site with castle walls and narrow, winding streets. Our Estonian publishers have published my book Technology of the Gods into Estonian, Finnish and Swedish. The Estonian language is similar to Finnish. I did a book signing and talk at Tallinn’s largest bookstore and then we took a ferry to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. We also visited the old capital, Turku on the west side of Finland and returned to Helsinki to fly to Iceland. It was a very nice day when we landed at the airport in Reykjavik and we got to see a lot of the island from the air.

Our newest affiliated bookstore is Soapy Hollow at 1684 E. White Mountain Blvd., Pinetop, Arizona. It is a shop with gifts, books, homemade soap, scents and Celtic stuff. It is run by Vyktoria Pratt Keating, a soap maker and musician who has worked with Ian Anderson of the group Jethro Tull. The bookstore in Illinois is open, so take a drive through the harvested corn and soybean fields on the next crisp fall day and visit. Stop in to browse and play one of the pinball machines, like the new Foo Fighters game or the revamped X-Files game.
